The Audi Crosslane Coupé concept car made its world premiere at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Its design previewed a fresh styling language for Audi’s Q lineup and is widely regarded as the design prototype of the compact Audi Q2 SUV. Wolfgang Egger, Audi’s former chief designer, stated that the design philosophy adopted for the next‑generation Q7 was first showcased on the Crosslane Coupé concept.
The Audi Crosslane Coupé is a compact SUV concept with exterior dimensions of 4,210 × 1,880 × 1,510 mm and a wheelbase of 2,560 mm. Positioned below the Audi Q3, it features a 2+2 seating layout. Regarded as a direct preview of the production Audi Q2 SUV, its design philosophy foreshadows the sportier styling direction of Audi’s even-numbered Q-series models including the Q2, Q4 and Q6.
