In yesterday post, we have introduced a new Audi car named as Audi E5 and its related diecast model, and in that post, we mentioned that the Audi E5 is the vehicle cooperating between SAIC and Audi, and today we will introduce another Audi car, Audi A5L Sportback, which is also manufactured by SAIC-VW in China.
In 2024, the 3rd generation Audi A5 with codename B10 was released, different with both 1st generation and 2nd generation Audi A5, there is no 2-door coupe and 2-door convertible in 3rd generation Audi A5, strictly speaking, the 3rd generation Audi A5 is the continuation of Audi A4 due to Audi’s new strategy on naming rule.
In China, the 3rd generation Audi A5 is named as Audi A5L with long wheelbase which is a China-exclusive. Both the Audi A5L sedan and Audi A5L sportback are manufactured at here but by different factories, Audi A5L sedan was released by FAW-VW in 2024 while the Audi A5L sportback was released by SAIC-VW in 2025.
In previous post, we have introduced a few 1st generation 1/18 scale Audi A5 diecast models including both coupe and cabriolet by NOREV, 1/18 Scale Audi A5 Diecast Models by NOREV For Collectors, and with the release of 3rd generation Audi A5, 1/18 scale Audi A5L Sportback car model now is available in the market.
Looking at displayed picture above, they are all new Audi A5L Sportback diecast models in different colors, red and blue, they have almost the same exterior but with different wheel hubs, so that you can choose any color you are interested.
As for the functions, they are the same as most 1/18 scale car models, for example, all four car doors, hood and boot can be opened or closed as real car.
